Only the fields above are rewritten. Camera settings, GPS coordinates, the embedded thumbnail and every other EXIF tag are carried over unchanged, and the compressed image data is copied byte for byte — saving never recompresses the picture. Clear a field to delete that tag.
Your original file is never modified. A clean copy will be downloaded.
Can I edit metadata without uploading?
Yes, all metadata editing happens strictly in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your original file is untouched.
Which tags can I modify?
Title, author, description, copyright, keywords and comment. Every other tag — including camera settings and GPS — is preserved exactly as it was.
Which files can I edit?
JPEG photos only. The editor rewrites the EXIF block and copies the compressed image data through byte for byte, so the picture is never re-encoded. A PNG, PDF, video or audio file is refused rather than quietly re-saved.
